Ingredients

1 hour approx
as required
  1. 1/2 cuphot milk
  2. 1/4 cupchoco-chips
  3. 1 tspinstant coffee powder
  4. 1/4 cupbutter
  5. 1/4 cupcastor sugar
  6. 1/2 cupcondensed milk
  7. 3/4 cupmaida
  8. 1/4 cupcocoa powder
  9. 1 tspbaking powder
  10. 1/2 tspbaking soda
  11. 1 tspvanilla/chocolate essence
  12. as per need Few whole red cherries for garnishing
  13. 1 cupwhipping cream
  14. 1 tspvanilla essence, for icing
  15. 3 tbspcastor sugar, for icing
  16. as Chopped red cherries, between cake-layering

Cooking Instructions

    In a large bowl, add hot milk, choco-chips & coffee powder. Give everything a good mix.

    Then add oil, sugar & condensed milk to it. Combine everything well.

    Now keep a strainer over it and add flour, baking powder, baking soda & cocoa powder to it. Combine everything well. Then add chocolate essence to it & mix it once again.

    Now grease a cake tin and pour the mixture into it. Now for pre-heating, take a kadai with it's base covered with salt and a stand over it. Cover it and pre-heat the kadai for 3 mins on high flame and then 5 mins. on medium flame.

    Now grease a cake tin with some oil and pour cake batter into it. Now after 7 to 8 mins of pre-heating, place the cake tin over the stand, cover the kadai and bake it on a low flame for about 30 to 40 mins. Demould the cake once it comes to the room temperature.

    Now for icing, make whipped cream using an electric beater and beat until stiff peak. I have used 1 cup of whipped cream and 1 tsp vanilla essence at the time of beating. The indication is when you turn the bowl upside-down the cream won't fall off. This means that your cream is ready for icing. Now divide the cake into 3 equal parts as shown in the image below and apply sugar syrup on each layers and coat the cake with the whipped cream.

    Sprinkle some chopped red cherries in between each layers, after icing. Repeat the same process, with the other layers too. Once the cake-icing is done, keep it in a refrigerator for half an hour. Then remove it and do the remaining designs as per your wish, with the help of nozzles or chocolate coating....your cake is now ready to serve..
