Ingredients

  1. ForBoiling:
  2. 4 cupswater
  3. 1/2 tspsalt
  4. 20florets cauliflower / gobhi
  5. for MASALA PASTE:
  6. 1/4 tspturmeric
  7. 1/4 tspcumin powder
  8. 1/2 tspgram masala
  9. 1/2 tspchat masala powder
  10. 1 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  11. 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  12. 1/2 tspblack pepper,
  13. 1/2 tspginger garlic paste
  14. 1/2 tspsalt
  15. ForPREPARING BESAN BATTER:
  16. 1 cupbesan
  17. 1/2 tspajwain / carom seeds
  18. 1/4 tspturmeric
  19. 1/2 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  20. 1 pinchbaking soda
  21. 1/2 tspsalt
  22. 1/2 cupwater
  23. as requried▢oil for frying

Cooking Instructions

    Firstly, in a pressure cooker boil 4 cup water with ½ tsp salt. And add 20 florets cauliflower and boil for 3 minutes.

    Drain off the gobhi / cauliflower and keep aside

    In a bowl prepare masala paste by adding 1 tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp garam masala, ¼ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp black pepper, ½ tsp ginger garlic paste, ½ tsp chat masala powder and ½ tsp salt.

    Mix well making sure all the spices are well combined. further add in blanched gobhi and mix well.

    Coat the spice paste uniformly. marinate for 20 minutes allowing spices to absorb.

    Take a bowl, prepare besan batter by taking 1 cup besan, ½ tsp ajwain, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp chilli powder, pinch baking soda and ½ tsp salt. And add ½ cup water and mix well to a smooth batter.

    Dip the marinated gobhi in besan batter and deep fry in hot oil.and stir occasionally, until the gobhi turns golden brown and crisp.

    Finally, cauliflower pakoda / gobhi ke pakode tastes with Tomato sauce,green chutney along with cup of tea
