I always look forward to making jam using "organic seasonal fruits" from my neighbors.

I did not boil the kumquats before making the jam. My kids really like it.
Please adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of the kumquats. Recipe by Shingu shokudou

Ingredients

  1. 800 gramsKumquats
  2. 200 gramsSugar
  3. 1 tbspLemon juice
  4. 240 mlWater

Cooking Instructions

    Take the cap off of the kumquats with a spoon. Wash the kumquats well.

    Cut into half so that they're easy to pit.

  3. 3

    Put a strainer on top of a bowl, and squeeze the kumquats to pit.

  4. 4

    Add the kumquats and other ingredients in a pot.

  5. 5

    Heat on medium, and simmer while stirring to prevent scorching. Take out any scum that forms while simmering.

    The jam is ready when it reaches your desired consistency.

I made this recipe A YEAR ago. Still have some jelly left and in PERFECT CONDITION 😁
