Ingredients

  1. 250 gmsRice Flour
  2. 60 gmsBesan / Chickpea Flour
  3. 1 tbspsOil
  4. as per tasteSalt
  5. 1/4 tspTurmeric
  6. 1 TspChilli powder
  7. 1 TspCoriander powder
  8. 1 tspCummin powder
  9. 1generous pinch of Hing powder/ Asafoetida
  10. 2 tbspsWhite Sesame seeds
  11. 240 gmswater
  12. as requiredEnough Veg oil to fry

Cooking Instructions

    Mix all dry ingredients. Heat water along with hing, oil and salt. Once if boils, add into the flour mix, stir with a spatula to bring all flour together. Cover and keep it for 5 minutes and then knead it into a soft dough.
    Start heating the oil. Oil the Chakli maker, use the single hole plate for the Chakli or the three holes.

    Lay a parchment paper on your kitchen countertop to make the Chakli on it. Put the dough in it and as you press go around and round and form a spiral shape as small or as big as you want. Lift it gently one by one and put it in hot oil, don't overcrowd. Fry till it's golden brown and crispy ! Put it on a kitchen tissue paper to absorb excess oil. Once cooled put in in an airtight container or have it fresh as you like. We ate few before we could finish making
