Cooking Instructions
- 1
Wash and soak the rice for 3-4 hours. Drain the water out and let it be in the seive for at least half an hour for the water to drain out completely. Then Air dry it for an hour or two on a thin muslin / Cotton cloth. The rice should not completely dry but must have some moisture when you grind. Grind it fine in two batches in mixer grinder. Sift it to discard bigger grains and grind it again, if any, the finer the better.
- 2
Grind it in pulses, be careful not to overheat the mixer grinder. Once all is done, air dry it again and keep it in an airtight container. Use within 1-2 days or keep it refrigerated. Use it to make various recipes. We often make the traditional Nepali Roti with this flour apart from using in various other recipes.

Easy, Crispy Rice Flour Pizza Easy, Crispy Rice Flour Pizza
When I was thinking up rice flour recipes, I tried making a pizza crust with rice flour. No dry yeast is needed, and no rising time is required for this easy pizza crust. The rice flour makes it crispy and crunchy. When kneading the dough, add the water little by little to adjust the consistency. Use rice flour that's meant for making bread and pastries. Since this type of rice flour includes some wheat gluten, it will turn out crispy yet chewy. If you use 100% rice flour, it will have a rougher cracker-like mouth feel. For two pies, each 20 cm [7.9 in] in diameter. Recipe by satorepi cookpad.japan -
Handmade Rice Noodles with Rice Flour Handmade Rice Noodles with Rice Flour
I wanted to try making noodles with rice flour. I researched many recipes, and also referred to recipes for making dango (rice dumplings) to come up with this recipe. Rice flour is very different from wheat flour. The rice flour dough is very sticky and resistant so it's hard to roll out thinly. So I tried slicing it very thinly instead. It has a unique texture, somewhere in between pho noodles and commercial rice noodles. Recipe by mini cookpad.japan -
Rice Flour Pancakes Rice Flour Pancakes
I had a lot of rice flour and wanted to come up with a new rice flour recipe. I recommend this recipe to people on macrobiotic diets or children with allergies because it doesn't use eggs or milk. Please adjust the amount of soy milk according to the rice flour, because the amount of moisture absorbed depends on the type of rice flour you have. You can cook these just like regular pancakes. The kabocha powder is for color and may be omitted. We don't have honey or syrup around, so these pancakes are relatively sweet on their own. This is an easier version of the recipe I was taught. These pancakes use simple ingredients and are highly nutritional!Really though, the recipe calls for brown rice flour instead of rice flour, and gram flour (chickpea flour) instead of kinako. The taste and flavor are completely different. But these pancakes are plenty delicious and my son eats them up as a snack. Recipe by Mairebo cookpad.japan -
Rice Flour Crepe Suzette Rice Flour Crepe Suzette
Crepe Suzette is very classic French dessert made by various recipes. Rice flour does not contain gluten, so this crepe is easy to be teared. Please cook carefully. #eikoskitchen Eiko -
