Ingredients

  1. 500 gmawa/ khoya(I use Homemade mawa)
  2. 300g- 500g sugar powder as per taste
  3. 1 tspcardamom powder
  4. 2 tbsppistachios for garnishing

Cooking Instructions

    Take a heavy bottom wok/kadai. Place it over medium-low flame.
    Add khoya to the wok and saute for about 12 to 15 minutes till mawa change its colour and turns into light brown color. Stir it continuously to avoid burn at the bottom.
    Turn off flame.

    Now add in sugar and cardamom powder. Mix it well.
    Stir continuously until the mixture is slightly cool down and enough to handle with bare hands.

    Further, make medium size peda from the mixture. Place a piece of pistachios in the center.
    Mawa Peda is ready.
    Store in a airtight container. Enjoy it upto 6 days without refrigerator.
