Cooking Instructions
- 1
Melt ghee in a thick bottomed wide pan.
- 2
Keeping the flame low, add Mango puree and cook till it's starts to thicken. Keep stirring it to prevent charring.
- 3
Combine cornstarch mixed with little milk to form a paste. Add it to the Mango mixture.
- 4
Add milk powder and condensed milk. Let it cook till it starts coming together, stirring intermittently.
- 5
Add chocolate and let it melt and mix with the Mango mixture.
- 6
Add the gram flour, cardamom powder, pistachios, and saffron. Keep cooking the mixture till it's firm enough.
- 7
Switch off gas. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes. Apply little melted ghee on the hands and start making equal sized balls of the mixture, flattening them a bit for making Peda shape. Keep them in a well greased plate.
- 8
While warm, with any small round object make an indentation in the center of the Peda. Sprinkle little chopped pistachios on top pressing them down gently to adhere to the pedas.
- 9
Cool them thoroughly before refrigerating.
