Ingredients

  1. 500 gmsBiryani
  2. 250 gmsrice
  3. 4 tablespoonoil
  4. 5-6black pepper corns
  5. 3-4cloves
  6. 2bay leaves
  7. 1 inchcinnamon stick
  8. 4-5large onions sliced
  9. 3large tomatoes chopped finely
  10. 2 tablespoonGinger garlic paste
  11. to taste Salt
  12. 2green chillies
  13. 1/4 cupcurd
  14. HandfulCoriander
  15. Handfulmint leaves
  16. 1 teaspoonturmeric powder
  17. 1 tablespoonred chilli powder
  18. 3-4dry red chillies
  19. 1 tablespoongaram masala powder
  20. 1lemon juice
  21. 2 cupsrice
  22. 4-5 cupswater
  23. 1/4 cupFried onions(optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Heat oil. Add the whole garam masalas, onions and ginger garlic paste.

    Now add the tomatoes, salt, curd, mint leaves, green chillies and cook well.

    Add the spices and prawns and cover and cook well.

  4. 4

    Next add the washed rice, lemon juice and water and cover and cook till the rice is nicely cooked.

    Add some fried onions and serve hot.
