Ingredients

  1. 1 cuprice
  2. 1 cupKali masoor ki dal
  3. As per taste salt
  4. 1green chilli
  5. 1 tspturmeric powder
  6. 1 tbspghee
  7. 1 tsphinge
  8. 1 tspfenugreek powder
  9. 1 tspmustard seeds
  10. 1 tspcumin seeds

    Wash and soak rice and dal separately for nearly 10 minutes or more.

    Keep 3 cups of water to boil. Add soaked rice and cover and cook till the rice is soft and tender. Once done switch off the flame.

    In pressure cooker add dal with two cups of water turmeric and salt for about 3 whistles on medium flame.
    Let the pressure drop itself and then open the lid.

    To prepare tadka heat ghee in tadka pan. Add mustard seeds to splutter. Add cumin seeds, green chilies, hing, and powdered fenugreek seeds. Pour this tadka over hot dal.

    Serve with rice and aam ka achar and salad papad. or simply as it is.
