A Korean Recipe From My Omoni (Mother): Bulgogi

cookpad.japan @cookpad_jp
This is an authentic Korean recipe that my South Korean mother-in-law taught me. I make it often for my husband.
By adding grated apple or Asian pear, the meat becomes tenderized, and the sweetness of the fruit is delicious! This is often eaten wrapped in lettuce or egoma (perilla) leaves with spicy miso paste (samjang). For 3 to 4 servings. Recipe by piro1110

Make it Easily at Home: Korean Bulgogi Make it Easily at Home: Korean Bulgogi
I'm addicted to the bulgogi we had on our trip to Korea, and now make it easily and often at home! It's slightly different from true bulgogi, but this is our family's style.Too many vegetables will make it watery. If it gets watery, adjust the flavor by adding more yakiniku sauce. You could also try adding cabbage, king oyster mushrooms, or bamboo shoots. Put the leftovers on a bowl of udon. Bulgogi is one of the famous Korean food. In many bulgogi recipes you might find that Asian pears, kiwi, cola, or 7 up needed. But if you use steak meat, these ingredients aren not needed. Because soda, grated Asian pears/kiwi are often used to tenderize the meat. Tra Cul -

Easy, Delicious Bulgogi Easy, Delicious Bulgogi
I love bulgogi, and have experimented with various recipes for the sauce before settling on this one.Adjust the amount of gochujang and so on to your taste. This spoils easily in the summer, so once you've added the sauce, put it in a container and keep it refrigerated. Stir-fry once the vegetables have softened. I recommend including thin green onions in the vegetables. Recipe by Yuuyuu0221 cookpad.japan -
Beef Bulgogi (불고기) Beef Bulgogi (불고기)
Here's my own bulgogi recipe. Any thinly sliced cut of beef can be used (this time I used brisket/short plate), and the recipe works with pork or even chicken. Korean nashi pears have a flavour that is kinda halfway between a regular pear and an apple so an apple like a red gala can be a reasonable substitute. It's used to tenderise the meat, but it takes time to work... I initially tried to cook it after only one hour and the meat was still quite tough. Maybe pineapple might be more effective but I hear one needs to be careful with it. 🇰🇷 蛟龍Stormwyrm -

[ youtu.be/j5y3RVj0HfM ] Bulgogi is suitable to be shared with friends and family during a grilling season on a hot summer day out with the grill or cooked on a grilling pan or frying pan indoor. It can easily be served with steamed rice or as a sandwich with some vegetables(lettuce, cucumber..) of your choice. If leftover, it can be placed in the freezer for when you next want to eat it.
