Ingredients

  1. 1 cupWhite lentils (mash daal)
  2. 1/2 cupYellow lentils (moong daal)
  3. 1Onion chopped
  4. 5Green chilli
  5. Salt 1 ¹/² tbsp
  6. 1 tbspRed chilli powder
  7. 1 pinchBaking soda
  8. Sugar to taste
  9. Yogurt half kg
  10. Imli ki Khatti Meethi Chutney to drizzle
  11. Dahi baray masala to sprinkle

    Soak white and yellow lentils for 5 hours.

    Strain the lentils.

    Add salt, onion, green chillies. Add 1 cup of water and grind it to a smooth batter.

    Add baking soda and mix well

    Heat oil in a wok, with the help of spoon put the Barey (dumplings) in oil of your desired size. Deep fry until golden brown.

    Boil water in a pot, put Barey (dumplings) in the hot water for 3 to 4 minutes.

    Take out Barey (dumplings) press with spoon to remove excess water.

    Put Barey (dumplings) in a serving bowl.

    Whisk the yogurt in a separate bowl. Add sugar and salt

    Pour the yogurt in Barey (dumplings) sprinkle dahi Baray Masala and drizzle IMLI KI MEETHI CHUTNEY

    Dahi baray is ready to be served
