Matar Paneer

Cooking Instructions

First heat 1-2 teasp oil in a pan. Shallow fry chopped onion till it becomes slightly translucent. Add chopped tomato and soaked cashewnuts(optional). In a blender, make a smooth paste.

Cut paneer into cubes. Shallow fry in a little oil or soak them in warm water with matar(if frozen) so that it becomes soft.

Hear 3-4 teasp oil in a pan. Add bay leaf, cloves, black peppercorns, cinnamon stick, and cumin seeds. As it crackles add ginger garlic paste, saute, add onion tomato cashenuts paste. Saute till oil separates.

Add all the powdered spices and salt. Add paneer cubes and matar. Add water as needed. Cover and cook for a few minutes till it becomes thick. Add crushed kasuri methi/fresh cream(optional).

It's ready. Serve with roti, paratha, rice.
