We bought spring Onion last weekend and my mother in law gave a good suggestion for making pakoda. It's very similar to onion or potato pakoda. You can have it with tea as snacks. Hope you enjoy the recipe.

Ingredients

  1. 1 bunchSpring Onion
  2. 1/2 cupgram flour (besan)
  3. 1/2 cuprice flour
  4. 1green chilly
  5. Handfulcoriander leaves
  6. leavesCurry
  7. 1/2 tbspnred chilly powder
  8. 1/4 tbspnturmeric powder
  9. Oil for frying
  10. Salt as per taste

Cooking Instructions

    First, chop the green part as well as onion into small pieces

    In a mixing bowl, add the chopped onion, green chilli (chopped), coriander leaves,curry leaves and salt to it. Mix it well with hands until spring Onion leaves out water.

    Now add rice flour, besan red chilli powder, turmeric to it. Add a tbpsn of oil. Mix it well. Sprinkle few drop of water and mix again. Make sure you add less water to make the pakora crispier

    In a frying vessel add oil. Add small peices of the mixture to the hot oil.Keep the flame on medium and stir it well. Deep fry till they are crisp. Drain the excess oil in a tissue

    Enjoy the spring Onion pakoda with mint chutney or ketchup
