Ingredients

  1. 1 CupSabudana (Sago)
  2. 1/2 CupPeanut
  3. 1 Cup Water
  4. 3 Boiled Potatoes (mashed)
  5. 4-5 Green Chilli Chopped
  6. 1/2 Lemon juice
  7. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  8. 7-8 Curry leaves (crushed)
  9. 1 tbsp Sugar
  10. Coriander leaves
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Oil for frying

Cooking Instructions

    Wash the Sabudana 2-3 times and transfer them into a bowl, pour the water over it, let it soak for at least 4-5 hours. After soaking the sabudana will puff up nicely.

    In a pan add the peanut and roast them on medium flame. Peel them and grind them coursely.

    Now in a big bowl add soaked sabudana, peanut, mashed potatoes, green chilli, curry leaves, cumin seeds, lemon juice, salt, sugar and chopped coriander leaves. Start mixing, applying some pressure. Take spoonful of mixture in your hand and make round shapes and flatten it into a patty shape.

    Heat the oil in a deep pan, drop the vadas in hot oil. Don't stir immediately, it might break or stick. Deep fry all the vadas on medium flame until it becomes golden brown and crispy.

    Enjoy hot Sabudana Vadas with green chutney or curd.
