Ingredients

15-20 minutes
3-4 servings
  1. 1 cupleftover rajma masala (without curry)
  2. 3-4brown / white bread slices
  3. 10-12fresh mint leaves(chopped)
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1/4 tspred chilli powder
  6. 1/4cumin powder
  7. 1/2 tspchaat masala
  8. 1/2 tbspcoriander leaves
  9. 3medium potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
  10. 1medium onion, finely chopped
  11. Oil to shallow fry
  12. For garnish 1 medium onion, cut into rings A few iceberg lettuce leaves Few thin strips of red capsicum Pickle, as required (your choice)

Cooking Instructions

    Strain the gravy from the rajma masala and put the rajma into a processor jar.

    I didn't have brown bread, so I used white bread instead..) (feel free to use whatever you prefer)

    Add broken brown bread slices, fresh mint leaves, salt and red chilli powder and process.

    Place mashed potatoes in a bowl and add the rajma mixture to it and mix well. Add onion, mint leaves, coriander leaves, cumin powder, chaat masala and mix well.

    Take the rajma-potato mixture in your hand and shape it into a tikki by pressing it gently with your palms to give it a flat shape.

    Turning sides, till evenly done and crisp on both sides.

    Garnish with onion rings, iceberg lettuce, thin strips of red capsicum and serve hot with pickles.
