📌More often Chaklis are made from wheat flour and rice flour, but they are not suitable for diabetic and gluten-sensitive persons. To fulfill the craving to eat chakli, I prepared diabetic friendly mix of millet flour chakli with dry fenugreek leaves - kasoori methi.
📌Combination of this millet flour is nutrient-rich, which helps in digestion, regulates blood sugar levels, and can contribute to weight management due to its high fiber content.
📌Try once, and fulfill cravings of enjoying chakli with a cup of hot tea or coffee, or as a munching for small hunger. You will enjoy it a lot.

Ingredients

30 minutes
4 servings
  1. 1 cupbajra flour
  2. 1 cupjowar flour
  3. 2 tspkasoori methi
  4. 2 cupsboiling water
  5. 1 tspturmeric powder
  6. 1 tspcrushed ginger chili
  7. 1/4 tsphing
  8. 1 tspred chili powder
  9. 1/2 tspjeera
  10. 1/2 tspsesame seeds
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Oil to deep fry chakli

Cooking Instructions

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Serve both flours. Take a pan, and add water. Keep on medium flame. Add salt, hing, turmeric powder, red chili powder, ginger chili, sesame seeds, and jeera.

    Make a nice stir. When water boils, immediately add both flours, combine well. Turn off gas. Add kasoori methi. Stir well. Cover a lid. Keep aside to rest flours for at least 20 minutes.

    Transfer steamed flour to a plate. Knead it properly. Make it smooth and give it a nice cylinder shape. Apply oil inside the chakli maker. Set chakli net. Fill the dough inside it. Close it. Now make chakli as shown in the picture.

    Take a kadai add oil, and heat on a low to medium flame of gas. Deep fry in oil till turns crispy. Take out to oil, and transfer it on a kitchen towel to absorb excess oil if it is there.

    When cools completely down, store in an airtight container. Enjoy with tea or coffee.
