Ingredients

  1. 200 gmsboiled black Chana
  2. 2puréed tomatoes
  3. 1puréed onion
  4. 4-5 clovesgarlic
  5. 1 spoonjeera
  6. Halfspoon turmeric
  7. Halfspoon coriander powder
  8. Halfspoon garam masala powder
  9. 1 spoonchilli powder
  10. Pinchasafoetida
  11. leavesCoriander
  12. As per neededSalt
  13. Oil

Cooking Instructions

    Soak black Chana overnight

  2. 2

    You can then boil it with water and salt

  3. 3

    In a pan heat some oil

  4. 4

    Add garlic, jeera, asafoetida and puréed onion

  5. 5

    Cook it till it's brown

  6. 6

    Then add puréed tomatoes to it

  7. 7

    Add turmeric, chilli powder, coriander and garam masala powder to it

  8. 8

    Cook for two mins and add the boiled Chana to it

  9. 9

    Don't drain the water in which you boiled the Chana

  10. 10

    You can add it to the gravy with the Chana depending on the thickness of the curry you desire

  11. 11

    Add salt and let it boil for 5 to 7 minutes

  12. 12

    Garnish it with coriander

  13. 13

    Serve it hot with Chapati or rice
