  1. 2 tbspbutter
  2. 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  3. 7 slicepineapple, drained
  4. 1/4 cuppineapple juice
  5. 1 1/4 cupcake flour
  6. 2 tspbaking powder
  7. 1/2 tspsalt
  8. 1/3 cupbutter
  9. 1/2 cupsugar
  10. 1egg, unbeaten
  11. 1/2 cupmilk
  12. 1/2 tspvanilla

Cooking Instructions

    Melt butter in 8x8 inch pan. Sprinkle with sugar and pour pineapple juice. Arrange pineapple slices. Sift dry ingredients together. Set aside.

    Cream butter and add sugar gradually, creaming well. Add unbeaten egg and beat well. Combine milk and vanilla.

    Add alternately with dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Blend well after each addition. Pour over pineapple.

    Bake on moderate oven 375°F for 45 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes, turn upside down. Cool!
