Guyanese Chick Peas Guyanese Chick Peas
This is a recipe that was made by a family member. Not having exact recipe, my step daughter Leela and I created our own. As close to possible to original. Now watch out, my family can handle SPICY. You can adjust spices to your taste but it won't be close to authentic. The curry powder shown with the addition of cumin and chili flakes was as close to using original recipe curry. Curry's are made a bit different from region to region so I learned. Taylor Topp Comacho -

Spicy Garlic Lupini Beans Spicy Garlic Lupini Beans
These are extremely popular throughout Portugal. Any café shop or bar will have them. They are perfect with a beer on the side. I didn't add any amounts because there isn't any. Adjust the quantity according to how many beans you have. I like a lot of garlic so for 1kg worth of beans I probably add 2 bulbs of garlic give or take. If you prefer you can add fresh chopped peppers. Rae -
Spicy Garbanzo Mint Salad Spicy Garbanzo Mint Salad
Where I live there is abundant greenery. It's getting hot and herbs are growing everywhere. I picked mint and made mint water. And added some to this salad. That makes me feel summer is just around the corner. One of my friends sprinkled parmesan cheese on it. Mmmm.. Enjoy with it or without it! Junquo M Hill -
Chickpea Salad (Salpicón de Garbanzos) Chickpea Salad (Salpicón de Garbanzos)
I cook dried chickpeas with the skins on. They’re rich in protein, fiber, and healthy carbohydrates. The vegetables are low in calories and high in nutrients, minerals, vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants. I like to serve this chickpea salad alongside different types of meat, poultry, or fish. I enjoy using legumes in small portions as a side for meats—it’s part of my diet. Over a year and a half, I lost 31 pounds by swapping out bad carbs for good carbs and eating smaller portions.
