Ingredients

  1. 2 cupChana dal (soak)
  2. 2 cupjaggery
  3. 1 cupwheat flour
  4. 2 tspghee
  5. 2 tspgreen cardamom power

Cooking Instructions

    Cook the dal in a heavy bottomed vessel with sufficient water on a low flame till done. It should be slightly firm. switch off the gas.

    Add jaggery and cardamom power and mix very well.

  3. 3

    Return this mixture on to the gas and cook on a medium flames, stirring continuously till the mixture leaves the sides the vessel. keep aside to cool.

    Mix ghee with wheat flour in a Thali.add enough water to make a smooth dough.

    Divide the dough and dal into equal portions. roll each portion of the dough into a round shape chapati.

    Place a portion of the dal in the centre and gather the edges to cover the dal completely.

  7. 7

    Flatten and roll out as thinly as possible. roasted on a preheated girdle on a medium flames till golden brown on both sides.

    Apply the ghee while roasting the poli and serve. Enjoy.
