Ingredients

  1. 1 cupof butter
  2. 1 2/3 cupsugar
  3. 2eggs
  4. 2 tspvanilla extract
  5. 3 cupsifted flour
  6. 2 1/4 tspbaking powder
  7. 1/2 tspsalt
  8. 1 1/3 cupmilk

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven 350°. Grease and flour two 9 in round cake pans.

    In large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Then beat it in with butter mixture alternately with milk, mixing just until incorporated. Pour batter into pans evenly.

    Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

    Let cool in pan for 10 minutes. Then on wire rack until cooled completely.
