Cooking Instructions

Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the sour cream and mix.

Soft baking soda and flour together.

Add to the creamed mixture alternating with eggs, beating each one egg at a time.

Add vanilla and put in a greased/floured bundt pan. Bake at 325°F for 1hr and 20 min.

Warning: this will be a big cake. To make less half all ingredients. Creaming means mixing together with a wooden or plastic spoon until it gets a light yellow color and is mixed.

I'd bake it in a loaf pan and serve slices topped with fruit and whipped cream. It's probably been 50 years since I last baked one, and I was really excited to make this one with sour cream and the tangy lemon glaze.
