Soft delicious scones

Well, there are 2 versions 1 with Maas and these I made with only milk to make them affordable to my customers. I made these since 2016 winter and they were a hit at my work place. Since then every winter I am requested to make scones by my colleagues. And the bonus part.... I GET A LITTLE POCKET MONEY FOR THEM. I even get great feed back. Some say they enjoyed it with jam and butter. Some with cheese. They are really not sweet. And to date someone said they really went well with a cup of soup. So they are a versatile delight. I got the recipe from the internet and I twiged it here and there. So I really hope you enjoy them. I will be sharing the Maas scones soon as I make them. They are equally yummy! 😋
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat Oven @ 200°C. Grease your baking sheet.
- 2
Add all the dry ingredients together in a bowl and mix them.
- 3
Wisk the wet ingredients together. (milk and eggs)
- 4
Add the butterm/margarine and mix with the dry ingredients. Rub the flour mixture and butter together until it resembles breadcrumbs.
- 5
Make a well in the center of the mixed ingredients and pour mixed wet ingredients.
- 6
Mix the ingredients to make the dough. Do not overmix. If you over mix you will get chewy scones. So just leave it as it seems all the ingredients just mixed. Don't worry when you see bits of butter in the dough it's normal.
- 7
Sprinkle some flour on a clean surface where you will roll out the dough. Then scoop some dough and place is on the floured surface. I normally use my hands to spread the dough and flatten it to about 1cm thick. You can use a floured rolling pin.
- 8
Then use a good size cookie cutter, flour it also so that the dough does not stick to the cutter. Cut out you scones and align in the baking sheet or pan.
- 9
Place in the oven for 15 - 20 minutes. Or until they are a golden brown color.
- 10
Remove from oven, transfer to a cooling rack or enjoy while still warm with your tea or coffee.

English Scones English Scones
My British friend taught me how to make scones. I lessened the ingredient amounts so they were easier to make, and they turned out surprisingly crispy and moist.Mix the flour and butter evenly so the texture is like breadcrumbs. This is the main point!Cut out the shapes with a sharp cutter. The final result will be fluffier! If you want the scones to be very moist, use more milk. If the dough doesn't come together easily, let it rest in the fridge first. Recipe by Waabisuke cookpad.japan -
Great as Snacks: Mayo-Cheese Scones Great as Snacks: Mayo-Cheese Scones
This is a salty variation of my Easy Scones recipe, since I want something savory too. I've kept it simple as usual, and used sliced cheese since I wanted to make it with ingredients that I usually have on hand. When you move the cut dough, the points of the triangles may get shifted or bent, so move the scones carefully. If the points do get misshapen, fix them after you've moved them.... On the other hand, the points tend to stick together once they are baked anyway, so don't worry about it too much.Try these with ham sandwiched in them, or with added toppings too. Scones Scones
The scones I had at a café were just too delicious that I became addicted. Since I like a simple taste that goes with jam and cream, I made these soft and fluffy with no sweetness.I used a half-amount of chocolate chips, 30 g. Jam tablets are also delicious.I use good flour when making scones. This time I used dolce.I think they're best when warm, so if they cool, please heat them in a microwave or toaster oven before eating. Recipe by nyonta cookpad.japan -
Heavy Cream Scones Heavy Cream Scones
I love scones. But normally, scones have a lot of butter in them. Butter is rather expensive too. A friend made these cream scones for me and they were delicious, so I asked her to teach me the recipe. After mixing the dough roughly, it can still be sticky, so don't worry about it - just take it out onto the floured work surface. If you are eating these the next day, just microwave them briefly and they'll taste as if they are freshly baked. Mixed Herbs & Seeds Scones Mixed Herbs & Seeds Scones
This is a variation of my "Basic Scones,". I recently picked some herbs so I combined them with my favourite seeds and made these scones. They're packed full of my favourite things.Due to the use of vegetable oil and leaving these scones to sit in a warm place, they'll turn out moist, fluffy, and soft. If you're using dried herbs, use 2-3 teaspoons instead. If the scones start to burn on top, cover them with aluminium foil. You can eat these scones the day after making them by heating them up for 10 seconds in the microwave. Recipe by KT121 cookpad.japan -

Dinnertime Okara Scones Dinnertime Okara Scones
I wanted to make simple scones that could be made easily and could be served with all kinds of dishes. I had some people try them, and even people who don't like okara liked these, so I uploaded the recipe. You can make these without a food processor. Put the butter in a bowl and mix until crumbly. If you overmix the scones won't be crispy and light, so please take note of that. Please adjust the amount of soy milk depending on how moist the okara you are using is. Just add enough to bring the dough together. Recipe by tearstar cookpad.japan -
Unforgettable Scones Unforgettable Scones
A long time ago a café near where I worked had these delicious scones. I'd eat them, and then everyday at home try various ingredients to make this. This is the result of various attempts. If you leave all the ingredients in the refrigerator and let them cool, it'll bake very nicely. We only have an electric oven at home so it's not possible, but if you have a gas oven you can get close to those unforgettable scones. If you make these with a gas oven, please let me know. Recipe by Mahha mama cookpad.japan -
