Was bored of the usual mince curry served with rice, thought of trying out mince pilau - looked at different options on th enet and based on ingredients at had came up with this! The aroma when cooking is just brilliant!!

Was bored of the usual mince curry served with rice, thought of trying out mince pilau - looked at different options on th enet and based on ingredients at had came up with this! The aroma when cooking is just brilliant!!
Cooking Instructions

Heat up oil and butter in a cooking pot.

Add the whole spices, cinnamon, whole pepper, cumin seeds, cloves and cardamon.

Add your chopped onions and fry till translucent.

Add in your mince, ginger, garlic, a pinch of coriander and tumeric powders, cook till it browns (beef/mutton) - changes color.

Once all moisture is gone from the meat, add in chopped tomato, chilli, capsicum then tumeric/coriander powder. Fry for a few mins.

Then add in your peas and carrots and followed by a bit of chopped coriander. Stir together for a few mins.

Add water & salt and let it simmer.

Once it starts to boil, drain your rice and add it in. Spinkle some coriander and stir a little. Cook on a high, then reduce to medium low.

Once water has dried. Or has reduced you can opt to cover with charcoal/oven for about 5-10 mins then your pilau is ready to serve!
