  1. 1 cupsunrice basmati rice
  2. 2 cupboiling water
  3. 1 tsptumeric powder
  4. 10 gbutter
  5. salt

    Bring water to the boil... add the butter once melted add the tumeric poedwe and salt. leave to boil for a minute.

    Wash and drain the rice. add it to the water and tumeric mixture...

  3. 3

    Cover and reduce heat. cook for 7 -10 mins or untill all the water has evaporated.

    Serve hot with a stew of your choice
