Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupToor dal
  2. Turmeric powder
  3. Small onion
  4. 1Carrot
  5. Tomato 2 small size
  6. pieceTamarind tiny
  7. To temper:
  8. Fenugreek seeds
  9. Hing
  10. Mustard seeds
  11. leavesCurry
  12. To grind:
  13. Coconut 2 1/4 tbl spoon
  14. Sambar powder 1 tbl spoon
  15. Fried gram 2 1/2 tea spoon
  16. Tomato 1 small size

Cooking Instructions

    Cook toor dal with turmeric powder and water in a pressure cooker

  2. 2

    Grind all ingredients mentioned under 'to grind'

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a pan. Add all the ingredients mentioned under 'to temper'. Add small onions and chopped carrot. Cook for a while. Add cooked dal and cook for few minutes. Then add the ground paste and finally tamarind pulp. Make it to boil. Add required salt. And finally garnish with coriander leaves.
