Pumpkin sambhar
Easy ,simple,quick,hassle free sambhar
Cooking Instructions

In a pressure cooker add pumpkin and thoor dal, 1 cup of water and let them cook upto 3 whistles

Take a pan add 3tbsp of oil,jeera seeds,tomatoes cut into medium pieces,coconut and let it cook for 3 min in medium flame

Add turmeric powder,Red chillies or sambar powder,coriander seeds/ coriander powder and cook for 3 mins with 1/4 th cup of water

Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool down to room temperature

Take a blender/ mixer grind the mixtture into fine paste. Note: half of the pumpkin along with thoor dal can be grind together with this mixture to increase the volume and maintain the consistency

Pour the mixture in the same pan add the rest of the pumkins and once starts boiling turn off the flame and serve hot

Delicious sambar ready to serve with hor rice,dosa,idly.
