Ingredients

  1. 1 cupleftover boiled rice
  2. 1/2 cupparboiled green peas
  3. 2 tbspvegetable oil
  4. 1medium onion
  5. 1 tspginger garlic paste
  6. 1 tspcumin seeds
  7. 1bay leaf (tej patta)
  8. 5green cardamom
  9. 2black cardamom
  10. 1inch piece of cinnamon
  11. 6cloves
  12. 10peppercorns
  13. 1star anise (chakri phool)
  14. 1 piecemace (javitri)
  15. to tasteSalt
  16. As requiredCoriander for garnish

Cooking Instructions

    Heat oil in a pan.

    Add in the cumin seeds, bay leaf, cardamoms, cinnamon, cloves, peppercorns, star anise, and mace. Saute for a minute until they begin to crackle.

    Add in the sliced onion and ginger garlic paste and cook until translucent.

    Add in the green peas. Saute for a minute.

  5. 5

    Add the rice and salt to taste. Mix well.

  6. 6

    Garnish it with chopped coriander and serve hot.
