Suji ka Halwa with papad & aam ka aachar

Ingredients

  1. 1 cupcoarse suji
  2. 3 tbspsghee
  3. 2 cupswater
  4. 1 tspcardamom powder
  5. 3/4 cupsugar
  6. 4-5 tbspdry fruit powder
  7. 1fried Poha papad to garnish

Cooking Instructions

    In pan heat ghee. Add suji and roast till it changes color. A well-roasted suji will have a beautiful aroma.

    Once it has roasted well, add dry fruit powder (cashew, almond, walnut & pistachio) and toast for another minute.

    Add 2 cups of hot boiling water while keeping the flame on medium. Be careful while adding water as it may splutter.

    Next, add sugar and mix well. Cover the pan and leave it on low flame for 5 mins. Add cardamom powder and mix well again. Turn off the heat.

    In a serving plate, add halwa. Garnish with crumbled poha papad and some Aam ka achar.
