Ingredients

  1. 2 tbspoil
  2. 1onion (sliced)
  3. 3 clovegarlic (chopped)
  4. 1 inchginger
  5. 3tomato (sliced)
  6. 2 tbspoil
  7. 1bay leaf
  8. 1 inchcinnamon stick
  9. 2 podscardamom
  10. 1 tspcumin / jeera
  11. 1/4 tspturmeric
  12. 1 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  13. 1 tbspbesan / gram flour
  14. 1/4 tspcumin powder
  15. 1 tspcoriander powder
  16. 1 tspsalt
  17. 1 cupwater
  18. 1 cuppeas / matar
  19. 12 cubespaneer / cottage cheese
  20. 2 tbspcoriander (finely chopped)
  21. 1/4 tspgaram masala
  22. 1 tspkasuri methi (crushed)

Cooking Instructions

    In a large kadai heat 2 tbsp oil and saute spices.
    add ¼ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chilli powder and 1 tbsp besan. roast well.

    Add in prepared onion tomato paste and saute well.

    Further add ¼ tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp coriander powder and 1 tsp salt.

    Now add 1 cup water and stir well.

    Add in 1 cup peas and stir well. cover and cook for 10 minutes.

    Add in 12 cubes paneer and simmer for 10 minutes.

    Now add 2 tbsp coriander, ¼ tsp garam masala and 1 tsp kasuri methi.
    finally, enjoy matar paneer with roti or rice.
