California Farm Cauliflower Stem Nutmeg Soup California Farm Cauliflower Stem Nutmeg Soup
We try to use everything we grow, and the stems of cauliflower contain the most intense flavor, perfect for making a creamy soup, with a dash of nutmeg. I make a cheese sauce for the cauliflower florets for dinner and the nutmeg makes the cream soup taste distinct from the cheesy cauliflower. Hobby Horseman -
Meatless Meatballs made from Banana Peels 🍌 Meatless Meatballs made from Banana Peels 🍌
There’s a growing trend of vegans cooking banana peels as a meat substitute. I was quite skeptical at first, but @phie999, a friend of mine in Indonesia, cooked banana peel meatballs recently, and she said the result was surprisingly delicious 🤯 I could not resist the desire to give it a try myself, and decided to create my own banana peel meatball recipe. Both the texture and taste were just spot on!Banana peels are packed with nutrients, notably high amounts of vitamin B6 and B12, as well as magnesium and potassium.#CookEveryPart Junko -
Furikake from Leftover Dashi Stock Packs Furikake from Leftover Dashi Stock Packs
I couldn't bring myself to throw the delicious dashi stock packs away since they still have umami left in the them, so I saved them little by little in the freezer. The contents of the dashi stock packs I use are roasted flying fish, mackerel flakes, bonito flakes, kombu, shiitake mushrooms, dried small sardines. Even though they are dashi leftovers, it's a shame to throw them away. So, I created a furikake for mature palates by adding a refreshing kick of sansho. You can make healthy, homemade furikake without sansho for children. Recipe by Mekamahao cookpad.japan -

California Farm Organic Banana Peel Curry Soup California Farm Organic Banana Peel Curry Soup
Banana peels have a meaty and creamy bacon texture and flavor when prepared this way, you can make great winter soups with them. Fried banana peels give a bacon taste to creamy chickpea, greenpea, or bean soups. Here is my banana peel curry garbanzo cream soup recipe. What better way to eat banana peels, instead of throwing them away. At our little organic farm, we eat most peels from fruits and vegetables, oranges, lemons, apples, pears, peaches, berries, potatoes, asparagus, eggplants, beets, carrots. The peels and skins always contain special flavors and vitamins. Hobby Horseman -

Ultimate Veggie Broth Ultimate Veggie Broth
I thought up a simple and delicious stock recipe.Any vegetables are fine - daikon radish, carrots, onion peels, spinach and mizuna roots, broccoli stems, the outer leaves of lettuce and cabbage, etc. But try to limit yourself to vegetables only, and avoid using animal proteins.Depending on the kind of vegetable scraps you use the taste of this stock will change, meaning you get to experience a new flavour every time. Hearty and Flavorful Vegetables Hearty and Flavorful Vegetables
After many attempts, I recreated the 'hearty vegetable' dish served at a certain restaurant. If you use frozen mixed vegetables, this dish is easy. With this amount of flavoring ingredients, the flavor may be a little more delicate than what you'd get in a restaurant. It may taste better with more butter too.If you mix the potatoes too much they'll start to fall apart. You can just add them to the rest of the vegetables when serving.
