Ingredients

  1. 1 cuproasted gram flour (besan)
  2. 1/2 cupjaggery (grated)
  3. 1/4 cupCocoa Powder
  4. 2 Tablespoonsghee
  5. 1 Teaspooncardamom powder
  6. 1 pinchsalt
  7. 2 tablespoonschopped nuts (almonds, cashews)

    Arrange The Ingredients

    Start by dry roasting the gram flour in a pan on medium heat until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma. This should take about 5-7 minutes.

    While the flour is roasting, in another pan, melt the jaggery with 1 tablespoon of water until it dissolves completely. Once melted, add cardamom powder, Cocoa Powder and a pinch of salt for flavour.

    Now, add the roasted gram flour to the jaggery mixture and mix well until it forms a dough-like consistency. Add ghee and mix thoroughly.

    Finally, roll the mixture into small cylindrical rolls and Pedhas.
    Garnish with chopped nuts for a crunchy texture.

    Let the Mithai cool down and firm up. Once set, they're ready to serve!
