Ingredients

20-30 minutes
1-2 servings
  1. 3-4 slicesbread
  2. 1 tbspoil
  3. 1/2 tspmustard seeds
  4. 1/2 tspurad dal
  5. 1spring curry leaves
  6. 2green chilli chopped
  7. 1boiled potato
  8. 1/4 cuponions finely chopped
  9. 1/4 cupcapsicum finely chopped
  10. 1/2 cuptomatoes finely chopped
  11. 1/4 tbspsalt or to taste
  12. 3-4 tbspwater
  13. 2 tbspcoriander finely chopped
  14. 1/2 tbsplemon juice

Cooking Instructions

20-30 minutes

    Cut the bread slices to small cubes. Heat a pan and Toast the bread cubes until crispy.

    Pour oil to the same pan or kadai on a medium heat add mustard seeds and urad dal. Saute till urad dal turns lightly golden. Next add curry leaves. Green chilli saute for 1 minutes. Then add onion, capsicum. Saute until they turn golden.

    Next add tomatoes, Salt, turmeric powder. Saute until tomatoes turn soft and mushy. Add boiled potato cubes. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Pour 3 to 4 tbsp water and mix.

    Cooks until the mixture turns thick. Mix gently to coat the bread cubes with the masala. Sprinkle coriander leaves and lemon juice. Serve bread Upma hot.
