Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupall purpose flour
  2. 1 dashpowdered green cardamom
  3. 125 mloil
  4. 1/4 tspghee
  5. 1/4 cupsugar
  6. Pinchpink colour
  7. 5-6 dropsstrawberry essence

Cooking Instructions

    Take a big bowl and add ghee and maida with little water.

  2. 2

    Combine these ingridents using your hands and knead into a thick dough.

    Take small portions of the dough and make large poori out of it.

  4. 4

    Cut these poori into desired shapes.

  5. 5

    Deep fry in hot oil on a slow flame till they turn slightly golden.

  6. 6

    Drain the excess oil using absorbent paper and transfer in plate.

  7. 7

    Meanwhile take a other pan add the water and the sugar init.

  8. 8

    Heat the pan over medium flame then add essence and colour and elaichi powder.

  9. 9

    Simmer the mixture till it gets thick and sticky in the texture. Switch off the flame and keep aside.

    Add the deep fried shakarpara into the sugar syrup and mix so that the sugar syrup is well coated once the syrup is properly soaked remove and transfer to a plate.

    Cool down and store in airtight jar.

    Serve the delicious shkarparas with tea or coffee.
