We all love popcorn. Be it while watching movies or cricket or as appetizers at kids parties. But we are mostly bored of munching on the same old popcorns. Bread Popcorn is a tasty, crispy way to enjoy a simple day-to-day ingredient - bread. This is a really unique treat that is fun to make and to eat! Cut into bite size pieces that you can easily pop in your mouth, they're ideal for dipping in your favorite sauce or condiment. Ingredients

  1. 3 slicesbrown bread
  2. 1 tbspbutter
  3. 2 tbspall purpose flour/ maida
  4. 2 tbspcorn flour
  5. 1 tbspgrated processed cheese
  6. 1 tspred chilli powder
  7. 1 tspPeri - Peri powder
  8. 1 tspschezwan sauce
  9. 1/2 tspblack pepper powder
  10. 1 tbspchopped green coriander
  11. 3 tbspbuttermilk
  12. 4-5 tbspoats
  13. to tasteSalt
  14. as neededOil for deep frying
  15. as neededCheese sauce/ ketchup

Cooking Instructions

    Apply little butter to bread slices and toast on tava, till brown from both sides.

    Cut the slices into strips and then into small squares.

    In a bowl take Maida, cornflour, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, grated cheese, chopped coriander, schezwan sauce, Peri -Peri powder, salt and buttermilk. Mix well. Add little water at a time, mixing well, till a medium thick batter is formed.

    In a plate take crushed oats. Heat oil for frying in a wok.

    Dip the bread squares in the batter and then roll in oats till they are covered properly. Now deep fry in oil, on medium heat till golden brown. Drain on a paper towel.

    Serve with cheese sauce or ketchup.
