Prep the veggies!

Lightly season the chicken with salt and pepper. Set aside.

Put oil & butter in a Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add onion and cook until it begins to wilt. Add chicken.

Cook until more than half of the chicken is cooked through.

Add wine and stir and cook for 3 minutes.

Add potatoes/carrots, stir until coated well with oil.

Then add flour.

Scatter the flour over the vegetables and stir until sludgy.

Slowly pour in milk while stirring to dissolve paste.

Make sure there aren't any lumps of flour.

Pour in the remaining milk and stir until blended.

Add bouillon, salt, pepper, garlic powder and bay leaf.

Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer.

Cover and cook for 15 minutes/ until the veggies are tender.

Stir in heavy cream and bring it to a simmer once more.

Taste to adjust the seasoning as needed. Serve!
