This is an appetizer stew sauce for those who like hot sauces or chillies with or added to their served food like I do. It can be taken with ugali the way mijikendas do. It can be added as a side dish to any kind or type of food (any stew, green vegetables, rice, legumes, pilau, nyama choma). Can also be used as a dip with boiled cassava, boiled sweet potatoes, boiled eggs, crips and chips/fries too.

Ingredients

  1. 250 gHot Peppers/Chillies
  2. 3large onions
  3. 1 tablespoonGarlic Paste
  4. 1 tablespoonGinger Paste
  5. 10 tablespoon (50 g)tomato Paste
  6. 1 teaspoonTurmeric Paste or Powder
  7. 0.5 teaspoonCitric Acid
  8. 100 mlcooking oil
  9. to tasteSalt
  10. 30 ml- 50ml clean water

Cooking Instructions

    In the jug of the blender, add the peppers, chopped onions, chopped turmeric, salt, citric acid, water, and blend well.

    Add the cooking oil in a cooking pot / sufuria, heat well. Add the garlic and the ginger and cook very well. Add the blended mixture, and cook in a medium heat for 20 to 30 minutes till you get a thick oily puree. Let it cool and store in a airtight container and refrigerate.

    Enjoy with your desired food. Serve using a clean spoon. NOTE: very spicy hot!😊
