Ingredients

  1. 500 gFlour
  2. 10 gyeast
  3. 150 mlWarm Milk
  4. 1 tablespoonLemon Zest
  5. 1 table spoonMargarine
  6. 70 gSugar
  7. Oil

Cooking Instructions

    In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, yeast &lemon zest) together.

    Add the margarine and rub into the flour mixture.

  3. 3

    Form a well into flour mixture and start adding the warm milk little by little as you mix.

  4. 4

    Knead the dough untill deaired consistency is achieved.

  5. 5

    Form into a ball and apply a little oil on dough to avoid sticking.

    Transfer to another bowl and cover with warm damp cloth. Leave dough to rise untill twice the original size.

    Divide the risen dough into 5 smaller balls and start rolling.

    Using 2 circular lids/ glasses of different sizes, cut out doughnut shapes.

  9. 9

    Place the cut out dough on a flat surface and leave to rise again.

  10. 10

    In a large pan heat the oil. Dip the doughnuts and fry untill golden brown.
