Dates Delight / Khajur Mithai

Cooking Instructions
- 1
In a thick bottom pan take clarified butter on a low flame.
- 2
Once the butter is melted, add dates and cook for around 10-15 mins. Keep stirring continuously.
- 3
Next add all chopped almonds, cashews and pistachio. And add 2 tbsp poppy seeds. Mix all well and cook for another 5 mins. (You can take dry fruits of your choice)
- 4
Put the flame off and let the mixture cool for 10 mins. (Do not let this cool completely, it has to be warm)
- 5
Make cylindrical shape, either 1 big or you can divide them into 2-3 as per your convenience.
- 6
Spread the remaining 2 tbsp poppy seeds on the chopping board or on your clean kitchen platform and roll the cylinders made in above step over it. (Poppy seeds will stick to it)
- 7
Cover the cylinders in a foil paper, close tightly from both the ends. (Keep this aside for 20 mins)
- 8
Take the sharp knife and cut the cylinder/cylinders into 1 inch each to get circles. Remove the foil paper after cutting.
- 9
Ready to serve. Enjoy this lovely dates delight.
