Ingredients

1hr 30mins
3 servings
  1. 1 kgwhite wheat flour, 500gms atta mark 1 flour
  2. 800 mlwater
  3. Sugar
  4. Salt
  5. Salad oil
  6. 2 tbspcinnamon
  7. Chicken stew
  8. Full chicken(broiler in our case)
  9. 800 mlwater
  10. Salt
  11. Garlic
  12. Large onion bulb
  13. 3tomatoes
  14. Tomato paste
  15. Dhania and hoho

Cooking Instructions

1hr 30mins
  1. 1

Put aside some white flour for rolling the dough. Mix the remaining flour evenly till the clolour blends together uniformly.

  2. 2

Mix warm water, sugar, salt, cinnamon and 3tbsp vegetable oil together, stir until the solids dissolve.

  3. 3

Pour water into the flour, and mix till they mix and form a soft dough.

  4. 4

Tip: Press your finger through the dough, pull it out, it should be easy to pass through without the dough being too hard or sticky like glue.

  5. 5

Cover the dough for about 30 mins and start rolling to make the chapatis.

  6. 6

Now fry them to your liking on a pan

  7. 7

Place them on a cloth or serviette to soak up dripping oil, and cover them to stay warm.

  8. 8

Cut them in any shape you may like, to serve them.

  9. 9

For chicken stew, I craved some chicken broth, hence I decided to boil the chicken for half an hour, and set the soup aside.

  10. 10

I added some cooking oil to the meat, and decided to dry it and let it brown.

  11. 11

In another pot, fry diced onions till they turn golden, then add garlic paste

  12. 12

Once the onions brown, add the diced tomatoes and let it fry for a min or two

  13. 13

Add the dhania and hoho, and stir. Let it sit for some minutes, add some tomato paste and a quarter cup of water, just to let the tomato paste not stick to the pot.

  14. 14

Once your satisfied with the texture, add the fried chicken to the paste and stir to coat the chicken. Add a cup of water and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

  15. 15

Your chicken is ready. Serve your stew while still hot.
