Beef Stew Beef Stew
It’s funny... I made some chili last week. As I was thinking in my head, “What the hell goes in chili”? I started saying, “Wait, no. This is sounding like a beef stew”. So... I decided to make a beef stew now. It’s cold now and these dishes warm the soul. I never appreciated beef stew when I was younger. But I realize how fine of a dish it is in my older age haha. Karl -
Beef stew Beef stew
I must admit this recipe is really for a beef pie, but the insides where so good, why not just have the insides!! I think it qualifies for stew!! You can cook the first part in a skillet but you do need a Dutch oven to complete it. It is rather fiddly to make but I guarantee you'll be happy with the results. Props to my hubby as well for the photography as usual!! kokomayla -
Beef Stew with Baguette Beef Stew with Baguette
Simple and unpretentious, beef stew with baguette satisfies even the most discerning guests. This humble dish is suitable for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even as a party dish. Truly unique, just like the lifestyle of Saigon people. Once you taste this delicious dish, you won't forget the sweet flavor of fresh coconut water, the rich taste of beef, the spicy kick of salt, pepper, lime, and chili, and the crispy texture of warm baguette... Especially in the mild weather of the late year in Saigon... DiepngocNguyenTranslated from Cookpad Vietnam -

Sublime Beef Stew with Red Wine Sublime Beef Stew with Red Wine
This is the go-to special-day dish in our house.A beef stew for special occasions! When you are simmering the stew or dissolving the roux, do not stir the stew around with a spatula. The meat will fall apart. The vegetables shouldn't be added too early (if you're simmering them in the stew), not only because they will dissolve, but because they'll turn black. So I recommend adding them near the end of the cooking time. For 1 box of stew roux worth. Recipe by Gaserisa cookpad.japan -
Mike's Old Time Beef Stew Mike's Old Time Beef Stew
You can pan sear your meat before you cook it in your broth. However, it's not necessary to building any additional flavor or tenderizing the meat in this dish. She'll simmer far too long to worry about any of that.If you do chose to pan sear, allow your roast to sit out on the counter for 40 + minutes to relax and warm a bit. Then, season with sea salt / pepper and sear on high - on all sides - in oil in a cast iron skillet or comparison. MMOBRIEN
