see my supper today. i made it from scruch with the recipe i got from my aunt.

Put the potatoes to boil

Add in the Vegetables-pumpkin leaves
- 3
Then add a mixture of maize and beans
- 4
To prevent the food from burning pour in water to cover the ingredients.
- 5
Cover the mixture and simmer the mixture in medium. avoid stirring hence allowing it to cook untill at water has dried out.
- 6
Start mashing the potatoes to mix all the ingredients together.
- 7
Add salt to taste.
- 8
Serve.

Unlike peas which somehow adds some sweetener, Ndengu has a divine taste if, you get good quality and is well cooked. I used githeri that I had in my fridge. Try this out. It's delicious.
