Ingredients

30 minutes
  1. Soft maize (Mahindi changa)
  2. Potatoes
  3. leavesPumpkin
  4. Salt
  5. Onions (vitunguu za matawi)
  6. Cooking oil

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Remove maize from the corb and boil for 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add in your pealed potatoes and pumpkin leaves until the potatoes and very soft and easily be mashed.

  3. 3

    After 15 minutes the potatoes and pumpkin leaves should be ready, set aside.

  4. 4

    In a clean sufuria fry onions (vitunguza matawi) until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Put salt and mash potatoes and pumpkin leaves until you can't see big chunks of potatoes or pumpkin leaves.

    Add in your fried onions and mix well.

  7. 7

    Food is ready, serve with beef stew and cabbage. Bon appetite 😋😋
