A co worker gave this recipe too me, it was hand written on an old piece of paper. She said when I make it she wanted some, so she will receive her own loaf.

I made this because I wanted to use up leftover chocolate from Christmas, with Easter coming up I'm sure I can come up with some other chocolate recipes, too many Easter eggs!

This cake, like my cornbread and plain bread, is made without any milk or eggs. It is a very basic recipe using only 4 ingredients unless you add flavoring. I will list the ingredients to make chocolate and vanilla cake, but it is just as good to me plain.

I used a 15cm cake tin to make this recipe.I like this one because it's easy, before I always failed when I tried to make sponge cake using other recipes.

I came across this recipe on the internet when I was looking for semolina cake recipe. In my first attempt I followed the recipe step by step, but unfortunately the cake turned out very dry. So, I made orange syrup and poured it on top, I thought the syrup would make the cake moist. The cake was nice and moist with orange syrup, but it had to be eaten as quick as possible, because it turned bad the next day.So, in this recipe I have made some adjustments where I reduced the amount of flour and sugar in it and added extra almond powder. I used orange juice instead of milk and added orange zest. The cake turned out very nice, moist with slightly orange flavored.

I had some applesauce so I thought of making this. You can substitute applesauce with chopped fruits (dried or fresh) or jam. It is very easy to make, your little ones can help you stirring and adding things to the batter!My kids are not that fond of cinnamon, so I didn't add any. I think a sprinkle of cinnamon on top will give more oomph to this dish.

I have a thing for bananas this is a pretty nice cake the sugar is reduced as I find the bananas and sometimes I use raisins add to the sweetness..the vanilla essence I tend to use to my heart demise..so use an amount thats appropriate to your tastes

I met her at a birthday party for one of her great grands, we got to talking about baking and I told her about a cookie that my great granny used to make, but no one knew the recipe.
