Here is a recipe that will add a sweet twist to your Uji but still keep it healthy! This may look like a small portion, but it is VERY filling! You can buy fermented porridge in any leading supermarket in Kenya. I purchased mine from Uchumi.Miss Josefina

Rice Flour Bread in a Pound Cake Mold Rice Flour Bread in a Pound Cake Mold
I made this bread for my daughter who has flour and egg allergies. It's best to use rice flour with a thickening agent and trehalose in it. If using other flours, it might not be as fine and won't be able to absorb the moisture well enough, so they might not be good to use. Recipe by Chihimari cookpad.japan -

Fried Fermented Cassava (RONDHO ROYAL / MONYOS) Fried Fermented Cassava (RONDHO ROYAL / MONYOS)
Rondho/Rondo Royal or Monyos is one of the typical Jepara traditional snack made of rice flour filled with TAPE and cooked, especially if presented still warm taste it'll be more delicious. A blend of sweet and sour taste of the TAPE and the saltiness of rice flour is very pronounced in this rondho royal, also crispiness on the outside and tenderness on the inside give nice texture while enjoying it. In the cooking process, the TAPE that is in use is cassava instead of sticky tape.It remains unclear origin of the name of the royal rondo, but if we observe from the rondho royal word we can slightly understand the meaning. RONDHO in the Java language can be interpreted widow, and ROYAL can be interpreted luxury. So that could mean "luxury widow". Maybe once the food is found by a luxurious widow so called Rondho Royal. But in the Java language, said RONDO can be taken from the word "rodo^ / rada^" or "mondo" which means "almost/slightly resembles”. So Rondo Royal can be interpreted "little luxury". Maybe once, this food is a food that is luxurious for the people --- first Dutch era, many snacks that may not be affordable for people to make (such Bitterballen, Croquete, Poffertjes, Oliebollen and others). The name is still a mystery, and it remains unclear origins, but the name is exactly the uniqueness in traditional food of this one that makes people’s become curious when heard it and wanted to try a bite. In Jepara southern part, these foods are also often called "MONYOS", but in other areas there is also a call "FRIED TAPE".Way of making this recipe is very easy and can be practiced with the children at home, and for the following ingredients I could make as much as 20 dots dough. Easy With One Bowl Cream Puff Shells Easy With One Bowl Cream Puff Shells
I made easy cream puff shells in a microwave. If the batter is too soft it won't rise, so when it becomes the thickness of Step 5, stop adding the remaining egg. Do not open the oven while baking during Step 7! If cold air gets in, the shells will deflate. Recipe by Chizu kicchen cookpad.japan -

Homemade Pasta Homemade Pasta
After many experiments to try to find the perfect combination of seminola and bread flours, this is the result. There is also a recipe that includes olive oil in the dough, but adding the oil messes with the water, so I can't really recommend it. Since this dough isn't dusted with any flour, it's smooth, springy, and very delicious. The key point is to incorporate air into the powdered ingredients and to mix with the egg until it becomes crumbly. If you feel like the flour hasn't completely been mixed in, add in a small amount of water bit by bit to adjust. But adding water will loosen the dough so make sure to knead it afterwards. For 5 servings (400 g). Recipe by hiro51094 cookpad.japan -
Easy Homemade Pasta Shells Easy Homemade Pasta Shells
My mom made these cute pasta shells using the sushi rolling mat.Serve the pasta with your favorite sauce, or they're cute floating in soups. This pasta is easy and fun to make. The pasta sauce clings onto the holes and ridges of the shells which makes this pasta dish tastier. You can make small batches of this pasta and use it for minestrone soup. The consistency of the dough will change by temperature, humidity, season or even day by day, so adjust accordingly.
