Dalma is a dish made from Toor Dal and Vegetables. It is a traditional curry from Odisha.
Cooking Instructions

Soak dal for 4-5 hours.
Wash the vegetables and cut them all in small sizes. - 2
In pressure cooker,add dal,vegetables,turmeric powder & 2 cup of water. Cook for 2 whistles.

Take saunf, jeera, dalchini, kali mirch and dried red chilies in a pan & roast them.
let it cool for some time. then grind them all into a fine powder. - 4
Now take another pan & heat oil with cumin seeds,mustard seeds,whole red chillies,fennel seeds,fenugreek Seeds & nigella seeds. Mix this tadka to the Dal mixture.Cook for 5 -7 minutes.

Sprinkle the Dalma masala and switch off the flame.
Mix it and cover with a lid and cook for 5 minutes.

Garnish with shredded coconut & coriander leaves.Serve hot with steamed rice.
