Ingredients

  1. 1 cuptoor dal
  2. 1/2 cupegg plant
  3. 1/2 cuppumpkin
  4. 1/2 cupbrinjal
  5. 1-3Whole red chillies
  6. 1 tspcinnamon stick
  7. 1 tspblack pepper
  8. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  9. 1 tspfennel seeds
  10. 1 tsp eachFennel seeds, Cumin seeds, Mustard Seeds,fenfor spice mix

Cooking Instructions

    Soak dal for 4-5 hours.
    Wash the vegetables and cut them all in small sizes.

    In pressure cooker,add dal,vegetables,turmeric powder & 2 cup of water. Cook for 2 whistles.

    Take saunf, jeera, dalchini, kali mirch and dried red chilies in a pan & roast them.
    let it cool for some time. then grind them all into a fine powder.

    Now take another pan & heat oil with cumin seeds,mustard seeds,whole red chillies,fennel seeds,fenugreek Seeds & nigella seeds. Mix this tadka to the Dal mixture.Cook for 5 -7 minutes.

    Sprinkle the Dalma masala and switch off the flame.

    Mix it and cover with a lid and cook for 5 minutes.

    Garnish with shredded coconut & coriander leaves.Serve hot with steamed rice.
