Ingredients

  1. 1 cupGobhi florets(cauliflower)
  2. 1/2 cupBroccli florets(green gobhi)
  3. 1Spring Onion (green part only)
  4. Vegetable Oil to fry
  5. For Batter
  6. 4 TbspAll purpose flour (maida)
  7. 4 TbspCornflour
  8. 1/2 TspSalt
  9. 1/4 TspPaprika powder
  10. Water as required to mix batter
  11. For Gravy
  12. 3 TbspVegetable Oil
  13. 1 TbspWhite Vinegar
  14. 1 TbspSoya sauce
  15. 1 TbspChilli Sauce
  16. 2 TbspKetchup
  17. 1/4 Tspsalt
  18. 1/4 TspPaprika powder
  19. 1 TbspFresh Garlic finally chop
  20. 1 TspFresh Green Chillies chop
  21. 1Onion finally chop
  22. 1/4 CupWater
  23. 1 TbspCornflour
  24. 1 TbspWater
  25. Garnish with rings of greens of spring onion & sesame seeds (optional)
  26. To boil florets
  27. 2 cupwater
  28. 1 Tspsalt

Cooking Instructions

    Cut gobhi & broccli flower in bite size florets.wash throughly.boil water with 1 tsp salt.add gobhi & broccli florets in boiling water.boil for 3 minutes at medium flame.

    Take out florets from hot water & keep at strainer to drain off excess water.

    Made batter.mix maida,cornflour,salt, paprika in a deep bowl.add little water at a time to mix batter.it should neither be runny nor too thick.a medium consistency batter with no lumps.

    Add gobhi florets in batter first.heat oil in a wok, add batter coated florets in hot oil over medium heat & fry to golden colour.keep aside.

    Now add broccli florets in batter, coat them well & fry in hot oil over medium flame.keep aside.

    Now make gravy.heat vegetable oil in wok.add finely chop fresh garlic & stir fry at medium flame till it's colour start to change.add finally chop onion to wok & stir fry at high flame till it start getting soft.add chop fresh green chilli & fry a minute till aroma of chillis fills up.

    Add salt & paprika.add vinegar, soya sauce in wok. Fry a minute.add chilli sauce.

    Add ketchup in wok & cook gravy for a minute to combine altogether. add 1/4 cup water in gravy..let it cook a minute or two to blend everything.mix cornflour in water & add in gravy. Stir continuly as the gravy starts to thick immediately.

    Add gobhi & broccli florets in gravy. Mix them well so as to get coated in gravy.dont cook for too long otherwise florets will become soggy. Remove from flame.

    Garnish with rings of spring onions & sesame seeds (optional). Serve hot with steamed rice.enjoy Jashan-e-baharan with Cookpad & love #sabzi
