Ingredients

  1. Flour
  2. Baobab
  3. Potash
  4. Luke warm water
  5. Seasonings
  6. Oil
  7. Pepper
  8. Onion (optional)
  9. Tomato (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Pour flour and little baobab in a bowl and mix with your hand.

    Add warm water with dissolved potash in it and thoroughly mix until a soft consistency is achieved.

    Half-fill a medium size pot with water and bring to boil.

  4. 4

    Wash your habds and use your fingers or spoon in order to scoop to scoop the danwake dough, in balls and drop into the pot of boiling water.

    Make as many balls as possible but no too many balls as to over-spill while cooking.

    Cover the pot half way and allow to cook until soft.

  7. 7

    Remove the danwake ball and place in cool water to cool for 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from the cool water and place in a bowl.

  9. 9

    Add the oil, seasonings, and red pepper to the danwake balls and toss until evenly mixed.

  10. 10

    You can top it with onion and tomato slices with boiled egg.
