Ingredients

12 servings
  1. 2 packagesground chicken or turkey
  2. 1/2onion
  3. 1/2 packagebacon
  4. 1/4 poundground pork
  5. 1 bagcrushed pork rinds
  6. 4large potatoes
  7. 5carrots
  8. 1/2 headgarlic, chopped
  9. pepper to taste
  10. salt to taste
  11. lard to taste
  12. 4plantains

Cooking Instructions

    Sauté the finely chopped onion and garlic in a pan with a little lard and add the bacon.

    Add the meat and a bit of pork rinds and sauté.

    Add the carrots, potatoes, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

    Once sautéed to your liking, add 1 cup of water, cover, and cook on low heat until the meat is as dry as you like. Serve with fried plantains and my special 'Moros y Cristianos'!
