Jamaican Curry Jamaican Curry
In this dish, I chose to cook with the suggested ingredients like carrots, potatoes, and chicken. This is a South American-style curry, cooked similarly to how I usually make curry, but the difference is using Jamaican curry powder. Traditionally, they use milk instead of coconut milk, but I prefer coconut milk, so I used that instead. The curry color isn’t as yellow as usual because they use a lot of oyster sauce and soy sauce. Caribbean Style Rice Caribbean Style Rice
I came up with this recipe trying to find a side to eat with Jerk Chicken. My family doesn't care for the kidney beans or coconut milk that most traditional Caribbean rice dishes are made with so we tried something different. It came out great! Super flavourful! Angie -
